Practical Info

Nuremberg’s Altstadt is easy to navigate: the Pegnitz river divides the center of town. On either side of the river are the matching spires of St Sebaldus and St Lorenz cathedrals. The perimeter of the medieval wall surrounding the Altstadt (which houses dozens of towers and four large gates) can be walked in about three hours. The beautifully restored castle (the Kaiserberg) sits on a hill to the northwest, and Nuremberg’s main train station (Hauptbahnhof) is located to the southeast.

Nuremberg Private Driving Tour with Old Town, Rally Grounds, and Courthouse
Our tour was great. It was so nice to have a private guide rather than being moved about in a crowd with an earpiece lodged in your ear to allow you to listen to the tour guide. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable. Overall a worthwhile experience. Greg And Mary from British Columbia

Nuremberg Private Driving Tour with Old Town, Rally Grounds, and Courthouse
Our guide Chris was very knowledgeable and used a vehicle which meant we could fit a lot in. We started with a tour of old town Nuremberg and finished with the WWII rally grounds. Chris gave a comprehensive explanation of the history. However, Chris was all business and this tour felt rushed with little time to take in each site properly and the tour ended 30 munites early. This is tour is good if you want a quick overview and then go back to the sites that interest you to explore them in more detail.
