Little Havana

SW 8th Street, between Cuban Memorial Boulevard and SW 18 Avenue, Miami

The Basics

The neighborhood’s colorful spirit unfolds on Calle Ocho, Little Havana’s bustling main street, reminiscent of Cuba. On this block between SW 15th and 17th avenues, the Miami Arts District contains a string of studios and galleries that showcase some of the best Latin American art in the country. Nearby, travelers will find the Bay of Pigs Museum & Library, which enshrines the crew of the ill-fated Bay of Pigs invasion, and on the two blocks at SW 13th Street, south of Calle Ocho, are monuments of Cuban patriots and freedom fighters.

Many tour options combine a visit to Little Havana with tours of other popular spots in Miami and the surrounding area: South Beach and its art deco architecture, Miami Beach, the Everglades, Coconut Grove, or the art galleries in nearby Wynwood. Walking tours and bike tours are easy ways to see the area, while bus tours can be a welcome respite from Miami's summer heat. Half-day Little Havana tours take in the neighborhood's sights, while full-day options also visit other Miami highlights.

¨Little Havana Nights¨ Tour with Free Cuban Dinner & Drinks @ the Hottest Spots
My husband and I took our daughter on her Senior Trip, this was one of our tours. It was one of the best we have been on. Our tour guide, Angel was very knowledgeable about the history of Cuba and about here in Little Havana. We experienced the food, drinks, cigars, coffee, music, art and yummy yummy coffee. Seeing the night life and being a part of it for 4 hours was truly worth the money.

I went solo on this Little Havana Food & Walking Tour and had a lot of fun! Bethany, our guide, was very personable and knowledgeable about the Cuban culture/history. The food was delicious and the drinks were refreshing! Keep in mind, you are not receiving sample sizes of each food item; you’ll be receiving the full size. So, be sure to arrive on an empty stomach😋 There is lively music all around that’ll get you in a good mood. Highly recommend this tour!

Authentic Little Havana Food and Culture Walking Tour
Our tour started a bit slow but picked up interest as we got moving along. All the foods served were either delicious or interesting. The guide was super friendly and kept everyone together along the way. This was more than a food tour as the title says food and culture tour. I would recommend this one to anyone who wants to learn a little bit about Little Havana while stuffing yourself full of great food along the way.
