Informative Guide
Our tour guide did a wonderful job at discussing the history of Lucca in both English and Italian. Stopped at all the most famous buildings across the city, thank you.

Lack of a Tour Guide

Semi Private Pisa and Lucca Wine Tour from Florence
Fabio did an excellent job. My dissatisfaction with the tour was that in Lucca and Pisa we were supposed to be totally on our own, just dropped off and later picked up. Fortunately Fabio took us around and explained many things; we then had free time in Lucca. There was no indication of this in the description.

Pisa, Lucca and wine experience Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia port
If I could rate this tour 10 stars I would! It was the perfect combination of things to do including history, a little shopping and some wine tasting! Our driver, Masimo, was INCREDIBLE! So knowledgeable, interesting and nice! Lucca is an incredible hidden gem that should not be missed!

Pisa & Lucca Guided Day Tour from Florence w Leaning Tower Skip-the-Line Access
Lacking in communication prior to the tour, but on tour day the experience was seamless. Our driver Vincenzo arrived early and was friendly, kind, professional, and knowledgeable. The Mercedes was clean, comfortable, and stocked with bottled water. Once we arrived in Pisa our English speaking guide was already waiting for us. Her tour was low key, no pressure, and conversational. Very knowledgeable on art, history, and architecture, all offered at an enjoyable pace. She handled everything with out Fast Pass to the tower, and made sure we were on time for our access window. Best of all, because it was a private tour and private car, we had total flexibility within our allotted time. Absolutely worth it.

Pisa & Lucca Guided Day Tour from Florence w Leaning Tower Skip-the-Line Access
I wish there had been at least some communication with me in advance, but on the day of the tour, everything was perfect. Our driver Vincenzo arrived early and was friendly, kind, and professional. Our guide was already waiting for us in Pisa. Her English was excellent, and she was very knowledgeable about Pisa history, art, architecture, and politics. The pace was casual and comfortable, but still very interesting. She handled all our tickets, and made sure we made our time slot for our Pisa tower climb. Best of all, because this tour was private, it allowed my family flexibility in terms of how we chose to spend our time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great Day Trip Option

Semi Private Pisa and Lucca Wine Tour from Florence
We had a wonderful day trip to Lucca, Pisa, and a wine estate with Daniel and I Just Drive. The meeting place was easy to find and the staff in the hotel was welcoming and friendly. Daniel arrived on time with a cheerful greeting. The van was clean and stocked with water and some prosecco! Daniel's outgoing personality was a plus, making the hour-long drive from Florence to Lucca enjoyable. The iPads provided for sightseeing in Lucca were very helpful in finding our way around the city and the recommendations were spot on. Our time in Pisa was short, but we didn't really need more than 50 minutes to see the sights. The trip to the wine estate for a tour and tasting was a nice way to finish the day. Though semi-private with a potential for 8, there were only four of us. It's a great way to get out of crowded Florence for the day and not have to worry about navigating the roads or catching a bus. Important note: "I Just Drive" means just that - you are not hiring a tour guide (though Daniel did provide some good introductory information while driving.) This is the perfect tour for travelers who enjoy visiting a city on their own and at their own pace. Highly recommended.
