The Basics

Hop aboard the narrated tram ride for a journey through native Florida wilderness, which appears unchanged since the days when Seminole tribespeople occupied these lands. See black bears, panthers, bobcats, and gators at the Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary, visit the free-flight aviary, and stop by the onsite Wray Home Museum, which illustrates how the property progressed from a simple garden to the major attraction it is today. Tickets to Flamingo Gardens are available online and can save valuable time once you arrive.

Great place to spend a couple hours, see and learn

Great place to spend a few hours, see sone beautiful birds and other animals and learn about plants. There is a map so you can navigate the gardens. It is well shaded throughout the walking paths. You can buy bird feed for $1. The birds are very accustomed to humans and easy to feed. There ia a tram ride that runs throughout the day that takes you around the park and explains the vegetation. We spent 3 hours,I including grabbing a snack at the food truck.

Excellent 1/2 day trip. In February there are many people but there are school groups, lively and noisy, but cute to watch them enjoy the animals and ask questions. Be sure to take the tram ride of the grounds. The guide is very knowledgeable regarding the history. Enjoyed the tram immensely. Good garden store and gift shop if you are interested in souvenirs. Bought our tickets online and made it easy.
