It’s not just the skiing and climbing that makes Chamonix a world-class adventure destination: the area is famous for paragliding, too. Storyline: In 1760, the Massif du Mont Blanc became the main focus of Horace Bénédict de Saussure. Remarkable scientist, his wish is to get to the highest summit in Europe in order to conduct some research. History has it that a reward was promised to the first man to reach the summit. Mr De Saussure created the first “Mont Blanc race” with the objective of finding trustworthy guides that would, later on, take him to the top of the Mont Blanc. The Mont Blanc race is, above all, a quest where only the elite of the most experienced guides can find a place. Guides from all over Europe must take several physical, intellectual, and psychological tests to prove their expertise and knowledge of the mountain environment and its secrets. They also have to demonstrate their open-mindedness. Following these tests, only the three best groups will compete in the final challenge: the ascent of the Mont Blanc. Jacques Balmat and Michel Paccard, both born in Chamonix, are candidates for the race. The Enigmatorium will help us find the most skillful and experienced guides who resolve the allotted tests and will find themselves among the three best teams and thus will get a chance to climb the Mont Blanc. Will these members be you ? Help Balmat and Paccard in their quest and be the first team to pass all the tests… Search, on the planned itinerary, for clues, by solving riddles, which will allow you to progressively advance towards the final objective of the quest.

Rosalie, the mascot of our mountains, takes you to discover the pretty village of Romme and the surrounding mountains. The 8 beacons scattered over the hamlet will allow children to find a mystery word which will then give access to a surprise at the end of the journey.
