The e-bike experience in Civita called "Castello nel Cielo" is unique. Just outside Orvieto you pass through the ancient Badia and then go up the plateau which from the ancient Dimora di Collevento through Canale and then Boccetta leads to Bagnoregio, accompanied only by the rustle of a breeze that keeps the air clear here in all seasons , clean and fresh. The images that can be fixed in these places of great beauty, where the panoramas offer views of vineyards, olive trees, pastures and woods are a joy for the eyes. Farmhouses and cellars meet along the path where you can buy the real typical products of the place. Then the arrival at the Civita belvedere is indescribable, a glance that leaves you breathless. This is a private wine tour during which you will visit small family-run wineries. You will meet the producers in person and taste 6 local wines. You will taste Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Cerasuolo and learn how they are made. Local artisan cheeses, salami and prosciutto will be served during the tastings. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about history of wine-making in Abruzzo and give you some tips on where in the region to find the best wines. Please note: we visit small family wineries where producers make time in their busy schedule to meet you. Appointments are set when a tour booking is confirmed and cannot be changed.

I am a food and travel writer with passion for all things Abruzzo. It is my job to know the best foodie spots in Pescara and Abruzzo and I'll be happy to share them with you! This three and a half hour food and wine tour offers 5 authentic tastings (the food served in abundance will replace the prenzo) in different places in the village of Pescara Vecchia: it starts with a visit to the local market and discover seasonal products and secret ingredients. You will do 2 tastings in the family-run stores of the market. You will continue in the village of the native places of Gabriele D’Annunzio doing 2 more tastings in the alleys among the dozens of restaurants, bistros and wine bars. The tour will end at a historic Pescara pastry shop with a tasting of the typical Pescara cake that Gabriele D’Annunzio loved so much: the Parrozzo

Stroll through the vineyards and discover the modern production philosophy of the Marchesi De 'Cordano winery. During the visit you will be able to admire the vineyards and you will be guided in a path of knowledge about wine production. At the end of the visit you will be a guest of the tasting room, where you will taste some wines of the Marchesi De ’Cordano Winery.

During the guided tour you will learn about the history of the ancient farm and the various cultivation techniques. Inside the cellar you can taste the wines of Podere Castorani accompanied by typical local products. The Podere Castorani rises 350 meters high, on a hill of Alanno where the ancient vineyards, set between the Majella National Park and the nearby Adriatic coast, enjoy excellent exposure to the sun and night winds, and temperature changes between day and night that give the grapes unique and precious characteristics.
